Rheumatology Studies

GERD/Heartburn/ Reflux
To be eligible for this study, you must:
• Be 18-65 years of age,
• Have been experiencing GERD symptoms for at least three months,
• Have been taking a Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI) medication for at least four weeks, but only have partial relief of your symptoms,
• Experience heartburn symptoms at least three days a week, and
• Be willing to remain on your PPI medication during the study.

High Cholesterol
To be eligible for this study you must:
-Be 45 years old or older
-Have known heart disease OR Type II Diabetes
-(Current cholesterol medication not required)

A qualified participant will receive all study-related care including physical exam, lab series and study drug at no charge. Compensation is usually provided for time and travel.
